Continued Journey

As Jayita matured as an artist, she recognized the need for further musical training. After living abroad for over a decade and completing her academic pursuits, she returned to India to immerse herself fully in music once again. She spent more than six and a half years in intensive training under Vidushi Dalia Rahut of the Benaras Gharana, a distinguished exponent of Purab Ang Gayaki. This mentorship proved instrumental in deepening her mastery of Thumri, Dadra, and other light classical forms. Jayita also took Indian classical training from Sri Vikas Kashalkar of Gwalior gharana from 2016-2020.

In 2012, Jayita had the privilege of connecting with Sri Ramanuj Dasgupta, a renowned music director and one of the most versatile musicians of his generation. Seeking to further enrich her artistry in devotional music, Nazrulgeeti, and Raagpradhan, she trained under his guidance. His mentorship provided her with deeper musical insight and stronger technical command of these styles.
